ABOUT US
Agribusiness Entrepreneurship Development (AED) was founded to empower the youth of Ghana with special focus on the unemployed graduates through agriculture and agribusiness by aiding them to take advantage of the untapped potential of Ghana's economy (Agriculture). In Ghana, Agriculture contributes about 30% to the GDP and employs majority of the youth. This means there is a huge potential that when tapped will create sustainable businesses and employments for the teeming unemployed youth of Ghana to create wealth for themselves for a better life.
We are therefore committed to grooming young entrepreneurs into agriculture and agribusiness to harness these untapped potentials to lift pressure off the public purse, mitigate a national security threat and promote food security.
We identify, encourage, educate, train and support unemployed graduates to explore mechanized farming and its associated commercial activities along the value chain (agribusiness) for wealth creation and financial independence.
To encourage others and sustain those already in Agriculture,we promote business match making with local, regional and international partners to establish direct business contacts between farmers and interested buyers. We also promote and facilitate contract farming for our beneficiaries.
Our primary focus is to transform the teeming unemployed youth into self-employed, employers and tax payers.
We run solution oriented programs to solve societal problems thereby improving lives.
